When the Past Isn’t Past

Trauma isn’t the event. Trauma is what your nervous system did with the event — the way your body still reacts as if it’s happening, sometimes years or decades later. Our PTSD program is staffed by clinicians who do trauma work as their primary specialty, with EMDR and CPT credentialing that we verify. We move carefully. The first weeks are about stabilization and resourcing, not jumping into the worst memories on day three.

A Careful Path

1

Stabilization First

Window of tolerance work, grounding skills, sleep regulation. We don’t process trauma until your nervous system has the resources to do it safely.
2

Modality Selection

EMDR for many. Prolonged exposure for some. Cognitive processing therapy for trauma where shame and self-blame dominate. We match the approach to the person.
3

Active Processing

The phase that does the heavy lifting. Twice-weekly sessions with the same therapist, careful pacing, and somatic support throughout.
4

Integration

Reconnecting with relationships, work, the parts of life that trauma had narrowed. Building a self that isn’t organized around survival.
5

Aftercare

Trauma work isn’t done in 30 days. We connect you with an outside trauma-specialized therapist before discharge — not after.

If trauma is in the picture, treatment quality matters more than length. Call (844) 501-5005.

What to Expect

Single-Incident vs Complex

A car accident is different from twenty years of childhood neglect. We treat both, but the protocols and timelines aren’t interchangeable. We’re clear about that from intake.

Military and First Responder

Combat exposure and chronic occupational trauma have specific patterns — moral injury, hypervigilance bleeding into civilian life. Several of our clinicians have specialty backgrounds with these populations.

Trauma + Substance Use

Self-medication is the rule, not the exception. We treat both. Detoxing without addressing trauma usually means relapse within months.

When Talking Doesn’t Work

For some trauma, language-based therapy isn’t enough. Somatic experiencing, trauma-sensitive yoga, and where appropriate, ketamine-assisted therapy with established providers.
